“Handprints” is released today on Cascade Records in both CD and Digital format. As you can see the main inspiration behind the artwork was the album name. I had a lot of fun with my house mates getting paint everywhere. Check out the making of here.
It’s built upon the laid back key-based grooves and is a continuation of some of the ideas found on the “RedLights. EP” that he put out in August 2011.
But Handprints, for Handbook, is more than just a project proving that he could arrange and produce music without samples.
He made these tracks to be listened to in any weather, in any season and to be as memorable as possible. In this project, melody is key and so is the feel of the EP as a whole. Handprints has that “Real Feel.”
Thank you to following people who helped me produce the artwork: Amy Hill, Charlie Kirby, Jo McCarthy & Charlie Moore.
Lastly, thank you Luke Billing for shooting the footage for me and Sal for sending me a copy of the album on CD.
